Handmade Kitchens in Somerset

We outgrew our old workshop in Bruton and finally managed to purchase a plot of land in Castle Cary from South Somerset District Council in June 2013.

We designed and purpose-built the workshop and moved in just before Christmas 2013. The building is much admired and we love it. It’s light and airy and dry – and three times the size of the old one.

Much of our bespoke work continues to be fairly local to Somerset, within a perimeter of Bath to the north, Taunton to the west, Yeovil to the south and Frome to the east.

But we frequently travel much further afield to fit bespoke kitchens in London, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and Hampshire.

We are happy to travel wherever we are asked: 95% of the work constructing a bespoke kitchen is carried out in the workshop, so the amount of time we are on site, actually fitting kitchens, is relatively small.

We took the decision not to make a kitchen showroom in the new workshop. Our whole ethos is to centre our kitchen design around our individual customer‘s preferences, not someone else’s. And there is always plenty to see in the workshop – a variety of unique and bespoke kitchens and other furniture under construction. Customers are very welcome to come and see us at work and to look at our construction methods and the thinking behind them. When customers see this process, they can quickly understand what is involved and how different design choices can lead to (sometimes dramatically) different costs. They also see our attention to detail and the great skill of our furniture makers.
